Aurora takes the next exciting step on its ESG journey  

We’re delighted to share our second ESG Impact Report for 2022. After conducting a full assessment of our ESG activities last year, we formed an ESG committee to ensure we meet our objectives. 

This is the next exciting step in our journey to decarbonise and bring our emissions down, becoming a more environmentally conscious and sustainable company, and having that in mind, we published our first net-zero report in August 2022. Within this report, we established a reduction glide path to reduce our emissions year on year and have continued to invest in carbon reduction projects around the world to retain our status as a carbon-neutral company. 

 We’ve partnered with one of the UK’s leading energy and waste consultants, Sustainable Advantage, to help keep us on our roadmap to becoming a more sustainable business and bring about real, impactful change. 

Our ESG journey so far 

As one of the UK’s fastest-growing providers of print management, office solutions and telecoms, we have a huge level of corporate responsibility to our people, our products and the planet.  

The latest ESG Impact Report 2022 sheds light on this and outlines Aurora’s current ESG performance, our highlights from the year, in addition to our updated goals and objectives for the next year. Some of our highlights so far include: 

  • Achieving carbon-neutral status for the second year in a row  
  • Installing webfleet software in January 2022, which calculated CO2 emissions from our vehicles, as well as mileage
  • £2,000 invested in wellbeing programmes 
  • Conducting a gender pay gap report and setting out an action plan to close gaps  
  • Launching ESG data collection and reporting solution to optimise the ESG programme and develop sustainable business strategies 

Going forward, we hope to achieve some of the following objectives for 2023 

  • Procure 100% renewable electricity 
  • Ensure all employees are paid the Real Living Wage or above 
  • Develop a Board Diversity Policy with a succession plan and recruitment goals to increase Board Diversity long-term 

We’re really proud of all the progress we’ve made in 2022, thanks to our ESG Committee and all those involved in the process in helping Aurora to become a more sustainable company. We look forward to reporting back in 2023 and seeing what the new year brings!
